Born & bred in Raymond Terrace  Partner – Chris ,Between us 4 children, 7 grandchildren.

I have been a member of Muree Golf Club for in excess of twenty years. In 2020 I was approached by several members to participate on the Board. My aim of being a Board Member is to assist the Board & Management team in taking our golf club to the next level. As every member would already know, the improvements that have appeared in the last 12 months are just the start of where we hope to take the club.



Golfing/Sporting

My junior sporting life started by playing soccer, cricket & swimming. I am a Life Member of the Raymond Terrace Soccer Club with my soccer playing days finishing after 42 years at the age of fifty. Many Premiership & Grand Final successes were had in this time. At 18, I commenced my love of racing cars which I still do today, some 45 seasons later, my greatest achievements were becoming the Newcastle Speedway Track Champion in 2000, this was followed by a 5^th placing in the Australian titles as well as many times being in the top 3 in the NSW Super Sedan Series. My current sporting challenge is Golf, which I have only been playing in competition for the past 12 months or so. Let me just say it is the hardest thing I have ever done.

Business

Having completed my trade of Fitting & Machining at BHP, I then decided to go into business. In 1982, along with my brother, what is now known as Carline Automotive & Exhaust, was established. I then proceeded to go to TAFE and complete my Motor Mechanics trade course and then my Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning Trade coarse. I am now trying to wind back which is allowing more time for things like Golf.
